Wow…a salad bar crawl in Hudsonville. With the addition of this massive salad bar, Hudsonville now has 3 bars. And one of those is the dairy bar at Hudsonville Lanes. <LOL>
They’re gonna have entertainment, bands, stuff for the kids. Word on the street is that Eric Clapton is coming and will perform live outside the Old Time Diner:
If you wanna hang out you gotta take her out, Romaine
If you wanna get down, down on the ground, Romaine
She don’t lie, she don’t lie, she don’t lie…Romaine
The Hudsonville Chamber wanted to bring in other big-name acts, but they had a celery cap.
I guess Hudsonville doesn’t just grow great salad fixins, it also generates some beefcake as well. Wikipedia tells us that among Hudsonville’s notable residents and natives is one Taylor Lautner. He lived in Hudsonville until age 11. My boys know him as one of the actors in Shark Boy and Lava Girl. You might know him from The Twilight Saga series of films.
I just did a Google News search of “Hudsonville” and even the Miami Herald had a story about the record salad bar attempt. But…they did file it under their “Weird News” category. <LOL>

Michigan city plans huge salad bar in Guinness World Records attempt
A West Michigan city’s celebration of its agricultural heritage is expected to include a salad bar that may be one for the record books.
Locally-grown lettuce, cabbage, radishes, celery, carrots, onions, zucchini, cucumbers and peppers are planned for today’s 680-foot-long salad bar in Hudsonville.
Organizers want to set a Guinness World Records mark for the longest continuous salad bar. All those vegetables are expected to weigh nearly 5,000 pounds.
